For all our complaining about the GM, we sure do love the president and we hope he’s here to stay for a long time.

Over two seasons, Manny Acta has quickly become a beloved face around Washington and he served as an optimistic voice during a rather depressing summer.   Mr. Lerner, how about locking him into the 2010 contract he deserves before Omar starts calling?

So we missed this one by a day, and I swear it has nothing to do with still resenting the Ayala - Hernandez trade.  Anderson and the Licey Tigres had yesterday off, so we hope he enjoyed his birthday.

We sure hope next year at this time you’re celebrating an improved season of Nationals baseball, the signing of first round draft pick Strasburg, despite his unprecedented cost, and an overall feeling that this franchise is headed in the right direction — because this year, you don’t have too much to celebrate. Please, Mr. Lerner…open up the checkbook and give this city a great baseball team.
