The Nats lost 5-2, but that outcome was hardly certain. The replay on MASN was pretty obvious. I’m still angry about it…
Which brings me to this conclusion: Instant replay is a waste of time.
What was the point again? To be more accurate? Eight minutes later, still wrong.
Tonight…
Dunn’s still looking for hit #1000 as the Nats take on Livan and an injured Mets lineup.

It was like “don’t make a fellow umpire look bad”—so it was inconclusive.
There was nothing inconclusive about it. The ball was on it its way down and the fan touched it. It was clearly not a home run. Can Nats protest that or file an appeal. Those umpires were out to lunch.
What a waste of 8 minutes. Lannen totally lost his rhythm.
What is the point? I’m still mad too.

There was nothing “inconclusive” about it. The fan was clearly leaning over the field - WAY over the field. I think the umpires were too chicken to overturn a call in front of a crowd of Mets fans.
