Sorry for the SBF inspired title, but this is important stuff. Mike Henderson quotes Sporting News in speculating that Kasten and Bowden will not be running this organization together next season. Unfortunately (and as we feared), this rumor suggests that Kasten will be the one to go.
Personally, I will have a hard time renewing my season tickets if Kasten walks and Bowden stays. Can you think of anything more counter-productive to building a great franchise?

maybe you will get lucky and Bowden will go to jail for fraud or DUI or something. Or get hit by a Greyhound bus. Or a Budweiser truck. There’s plenty of time before next season starts.
Cheer up!!!!

That would not be a good thing, but I’m not going to react until I see something that comes directly from the Nats on this front rather than rumors from outside sources.

By outside sources, I mean the Times, SI, and so forth.

Ladson has an item on the team site where Kasten denies that he will be leaving.

Rob - I know this one is depressing, but the game recap from Tuesday is super positive. I’m trying!
Nats Fan - I saw the Ladson piece. Still not a source I trust completely. I’d like to see the Times and Post follow-up on this. I guess we won’t really know much for a few more days. Ian at Nationals Pride has a great piece up today about how important it is to keep Stan. Check it out… http://www.nationalspride.com.
