A whirlwind trip to New York has delayed this post, preventing a full re-cap of Sunday’s 8th inning implosion. We’re not going to re-live that disaster now. The bullpen is overworked. Ayala blew the game by giving up 2 home runs, only to leave to boo-ing from his own fans in his own park. You never want to see a lead slip away that quickly, especially on a cold, rainy day. Boone had a heck of a game going a double short of a cycle. The Marlins ended up leaving town with the sweep while our guys headed to New York to face the Mets.
It was, of course, great to see the guys supporting the Susan G. Komen Foundation by wearing lots of pink. Felipe and Dukes had pink accents on their shoes, lots of guys wore the pink arm bands and several used pink bats. They greeted breast cancer survivors when they took to the field and the team recognized those survivers in a “pinked out” zone behind home plate.
