Must-Read Story:
Nats’ Carpenter is a class act and will be missed
Jim Williams, The Examiner
“Carpenter deserved to be given an extension; he did a fine job of broadcasting the Nationals games and trust that was no easy task.
For the last 20 years Carpenter has done Major League Baseball for the Texas Rangers, ESPN, the Mets and the St. Louis Cardinals. He has been a true professional, always keeping the broadcasts entertaining and informative.
Carpenter is an old-school broadcaster who is solid not flashy, he was a homer for the Nats without over looking their faults, he Sutton and Taylor were a solid trio that seemed to be just like the team they covered getting better with every broadcast.”
