The Nats had a sweet 8-5 victory tonight against the Minnesota Twins.
Zimmerman, Young, Guzman and Church smashed big hits in every direction inside the dome. The Nats carried a big lead for most of the ball game.
Simontacchi’s excellent outting lasted almost 8 innings. Traber faced some problems in the 8th before Rivera finished things up.
The wonderful Johnny Holliday filled in for Bob Carpenter and did a great job.
And though we still don’t like Alfonso Soriano all that much, he seems to have broken out of his slump in Chicago. He went 4/5 tonight against the Braves and hit 3 homeruns.
